Cosmic Elephant Productions started out as an idea to promote local musicians in the South Bend/Notre Dame area. Later in the 1990’s, after moving to Indianapolis, I took the original ‘Cosmic” concept and attempted to go a bit further and establish an entertainment and promotions website called ‘Cosmic Elephant Publications’. This time I also wanted to use the idea as a way to promote my own music. The elephant addition was inspired by the plight of the African Elephants.

 I had also recently recorded an ambient piece called “Elephant” with a friend of mine. “Elephant” appeared on University of Indianapolis Radio, WICR, during a show called “Time without Meaning” hosted by Doctor Strange in 1997; which was my first on-air interview. About this time I met Scotty D. We had thrown around the idea of establishing a radio station and website which was to be called WJSE which never came to fruition..

While in Tennessee around 2005 I was inspired to try again after listening to a few paranormal radio programs online and running across some great independent music.

I needed a bit of help on the technical side, so I asked the best media and web guy I knew, that of course being Scotty D. Scotty developed a new player application and things were rolling along fine. Due to personal issues, I left Tennessee and went back to Indianapolis with the intention of keeping the station going. Things did not go quite as planned and it was some time before I got the station back online. Again, with the help of Scotty D, WCER was re-established in 2007. After some months, I moved back to the South Bend area to be with family; again with the intention of keeping the station going. Once again, things did not exactly go as planned.

Now after some planning, some new equipment purchases, and a new full partnership between Scotty and me, we are back and here to stay. The new station offers multiple 24/7 streaming channels to choose from and will include our trademark shows such as the “Independent Radio Hour” and “Cosmic Pulse”. We are still dedicated to promoting independent artists in multiple genres and our primary goal is to go a step above the mainstream and give our listeners something unique and memorable. We hope that all of you that have made your way here will stay around for a while. Please feel free to use our forum and contact form to let us know how we are doing. We always appreciate and try to honor our fans’ input, so don’t be shy.
