The WCER Mission:

WCER is dedicated to being a source of independent music for the discerning listener. Cosmic Elephant Web Radio is dedicated to the independent musician in everyone. Whatever the genre, WCER will find a way to get musicians an audience for their hard work. These musicians are UNSIGNED, meaning they have no backing from a major recording label.

For the public:

WCER brings you music that you won’t hear anywhere else. The musicians are also from all over the world, meaning you will get a very diverse array from music spanning the globe. Cosmic Elephant also provides the listener with resources to find out more about the musicians involved in the programming of WCER. In the player, every artist name and image is clickable and will pop-open an “Artist Business Card”. The “card” shows you all kinds of info about the artist, including a picture, their location and a section of biographical information. It’s especially handy if you happen to be a promoter :) .

For the artists:

WCER provides a unique format for you to share your art with the world. You will have an “Artist Business Card” showing your info, including linking to your main website, and coming soon, links to your pages on social netowrks such as myspace, facebook and soundclick. All you have to do to get on the “air” is send an email to submissions@elephantradio.org with some bio info and attach 1 or more mp3 files to the email message. For the world:

WCER supports many charitable organizations and is also working in-concert with The Road Home House Concert Series, which supports Road Recovery and Sweet Relief, organizations dedicated to helping those musicians among the less-fortunate. WCER also is looking to help animal rights groups and endangered species and will be donating to these causes as well as many other environmentally-friendly organizations.
